 Katt Williams Arrested In GA

The comedian was arrested Monday, Nov. 9 2009 in GA

According to reports Katt Williams was arrested in Coweta County, GA Monday, November 9, 2009 on burglary charges. Williams representitives stated that the arrest was due to a false call to the police by an employee of Barry Hankerson whose home Williams was staying in for 3 weeks as he was shooting for a new film. The employee and Williams had an arguement which resulted the employee to report a faux burglary at the residence resulting in the arrest of Katt Williams.

Barry Hankerson, the owner of the house confirmed with law enforcement that Katt Williams was a guest and had permission to stay at his residence indefinitely. The house is located on a horse farm in the rural area of West Georgia. Barry Hankerson is known to be the owner of Blackground Records the home of the late songtress Aaliyah which was also his niece.

The arrest resulted due to an arguement between Williams and one of the Barry Hankerson's employees -- Daniel Paul Broach -- who called 911 and reported the Williams broke into the residence with a crobar. The police report stated that $3500 in jewelry and coin collectibles were stolen which Williams stated "We absolutely deny." -- "Mr. Williams wears more than that in jewelry on his person."

Katt Williams bail was set at $40,000 and he was released after posting bond.
